Moreno Valley: The Community & Police Department Make Christmas just a little Better for the Unfortunate

On Tuesday, December 22, 2015, the Moreno Valley Police Department’s Community Services Unit concluded their 2015 Holiday Cheer Program.  This outreach program is intended to brighten the lives of children and adults in our community during the holiday season.  The program included Shop with a Cop, Holiday Cheer Celebration, and the Holiday Parade.

On December 22, 2015, the Moreno Valley Police Department and the Moreno Valley Fire Department conducted a Holiday Cheer Parade. A convoy of police vehicles and fire trucks traversed various neighborhoods in the city of Moreno Valley passing out Christmas candy, stuffed animals and toys to the families in attendance. Santa made an appearance in one of the Moreno Valley Fire Trucks to add to the Christmas cheer.

The Moreno Valley Police Department 2015 Holiday Cheer event went extremely well based on the expressions on the many families and officers’ faces filled with joy.  This event allowed the Moreno Valley Police Department the opportunity to share a special experience with the children and their families under a positive set of circumstances.  Rarely are we able to exchange the smiles and laughter experienced during this event with the community we serve.

A special thank you goes out to the Moreno Valley community partners for the heartfelt assistance provided through their donations, cooperation and commitment to the community. Without their efforts this event would not be possible.
